MHSLA Member Clubs,
We wanted to update you on the most recent developments in the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation to ensure we are following all appropriate measures.
Yesterday, the Montana High School Association (MHSA) announced the suspension of all spring activities indefinitely. The MHSA Executive Board will reevaluate this situation on April 13, 2020.
On March 15, 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) made a recommendation that for the next 8 weeks organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States.
Based on the information stated above, the MHSLA Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to suspend MHSLA events through April 13, 2020.
Additionally, the MHSLA Board of Directors is recommending that MHLSA member clubs align with the MHSA and suspend team practices through April 13, 2020.
The MHSLA Board of Directors will reevaluate the situation on the evening of Friday April 3rd, 2020 and again at a date to be determined during the April 3rd meeting.
We will continue to provide updates as they become available. Please reach out to your MHLSA representative with questions.
